One of the joys of our Mediterranean climate is the Bay Area's long wildflower season. Among the first reports this year was the January sighting of blooming fetid adder's tongue and redwood sorrel in Muir Woods. If you want up-to-date information about wildflowers, including information about where to go and what to see, a few excellent resources will lead you in the right direction. The best place of entry is the California Native Plant Society website at www.cnps.org, then click on to "links" and then on "wildflower websites."
