Post's Wallace Stegner Lecture Series

Explore land, nature, and conservation issues from a literary perspective by attending the Peninsula Open Space Trust's annual Wallace Stegner Lecture Series. The line-up for spring includes retired journalist Ross Gelbspan, author of the acclaimed book on climate change, The Heat is On (Wed., Feb. 28); nature writer Rick Bass, author of 16 books of fiction and nonfiction, the latest being Colter: The True Story of the Best Dog I Ever Had (Thurs., March 22); and Dr. Paul Ehrlich of Stanford, whose newest book is Human Natures: Genes, Cultures, and the Human Prospect (Thurs., May 10). All lectures begin at 8 p.m. and are followed by a book signing. They are held at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St. For ticket information call (650) 903-6000.
