San Francisco Nature Education Announces 2012 Public Tours of Heron’s Head Park led by High School Interns
High School interns will conduct public tours of Heron's Head Park, a little-known wetlands site just past Pier 94, near Hunter’s Point.Tours will last approximately one hour and leave at 10:00 am, 10:30 am, 11:00 am and 11:30am.
Come by and experience the thrill of observing and learning about the waterfowl, shorebirds and wading birds that call the park home during the winter. Interns will be equipped with spotting scopes to offer close up viewing of wildlife.
We hope to see many of the 100 birds sighted at Heron's Head Park. Some of our favorites are the Black-Necked Stilt and Snowy Egret. Sponsored by San Francisco Nature Education.
