Birds of Bedwell Bayfront Park
Saturday, February 11, 2012
10:00 AM
to
12:00 PM
Join Friends of Bedwell Bayfront Park for close-up looks at winter birds–ducks, egrets, and more. Open to all with curiosity, not-yet-birders as well as birders.
Why do some ducks dive underwater and others don’t? Why does a flock of birds suddenly take flight?? Stop by to look and learn about Menlo Park's open space park with its ducks, hawks, and small brown birds. Bring your questions and enjoy looking at some of the birds that winter at Bedwell Bayfront Park. Experienced birders will be available to show close-up views of different birds – winter visitors, migrating birds stopping to rest and refuel, or year-round residents. Bring binoculars or look through our scope. Families welcome. Meet along the entrance road. Heavy rain cancels.
