Garber Park Restoration
Tuesday, February 07, 2012
10:00 AM
to
12:00 PM
The Garber Park Stewards meet every 1st Tuesday and 3rd Saturday at Garber Park to pull invasive plants, plant natives, maintain trails, and create habitat.
Join us as we continue our Winter Stewardship activities. We will remove French Broom and Cape ivy in specific spots along the loop trail, continue our clean-up at Fireplace Plaza and search for, flag and cage oak, big leaf maple and buckeye seedlings to help ensure their survival to maturity. We will also be continuing our "Map the Garber Oaks" project.
The City of Oakland Measure DD Creek Stabilization and Habitat Enhancement Project has been completed. Come take a tour along Harwood Creek and learn about this important restoration project.
Wear long pants and sturdy shoes or boots.
The closest address is 144 Evergreen Ln, Berkeley. From Alvarado Rd, take Slater Ln, then Right onto Evergreen Ln. The entrance is at the end of the street.
