Asphalt Plant Controversy in Petaluma Wetland
County Hearing on October 12
produced by Wesley Clark
Shollenberger Marsh in Petaluma might be an old dredge spoils pond, but it's become a haven for dozens of bird species and a favorite of local birders and walkers. On October 12, 2010, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will hold a hearing about San Rafael-based Dutra Group's proposed asphalt plant, which critics say threatens the birds and the people who use this park.
