The flowers of Jepson Prairie
Produced by Rick Bacigalupi, with production assistance from Daniel Okamura
Follow along on a docent-led walk among the wildflowers of Solano County's Jepson Prairie, one of the best remaining examples of vernal pool habitats, remarkable seasonal wetlands that once dotted the Central Valley. The pools swell with winter rains and then dry through summer and fall. As they do, a parade of different wildflowers appear along their edges.
Check out our April 2011 article about this park! Want to go? check out the info on docent tours.
